Who doesn't love a merdog!! These bathing beauties are modeling my mermaid design dog costume! Loved the first one of these costumes that I created so much, just had to list some more :) Absolutely love mermaid costumes and think that a dog should be able to wear one too!

This professionally created costume has serge finished seams and comes from a smoke free home. The bodice is a stretch nude fabric with embroidered sea shells appliqued on that have an oyster looking gem stone for the "pearl". The bottom is a slightly stretchy scale fabric which is lined with the same fabric and then has tulle added for fuller look. If you are looking for a great unique costume for your pet, this is it :) The costume is one piece. This particular costume is available in a size xsmall to large but is meant for smaller-medium breed dogs ONLY. You MUST check measurements to ensure an accurate fit, although due to this particular fabric being stretch it will accommodate a slightly larger variety of pets. Will be hoping to list additional sizes in the future. It is of course open on the under belly for obvious reasons. It just slips on over the head and onto the paws to stay in place.
For reference black and white dog is a shihtzu that weighs about 12 pounds and has a 10" neck and 16" in length and the size medium fits her well in my opinion. The small white dog is only 4 pounds and is wearing the small which is a little big on her. She has a 7" neck and is about 12" in length if that helps at all.
Measurements are always best.
Also, I have made this with slight variations so email if this is a concern.

SIZING: (this is exact so you want your dogs measurements to be smaller, again it is stretch so there is some room for error here:

XSMALL: neck stretches from about 8"-12", chest stretches from 12"-16" and length is about 9"

SMALL: neck stretches from about 10"-14", chest stretches from 16"-20" and length is about 11" to split in top of mermaid tail

MEDIUM: Neck stretches from about 13"-17" , chest stretches from about 19"-24" and the length from neck to split in mermaid tail is about 16"

LARGE: Neck stretches from 14-17", chest stretches from about 20"-25" and the length is about 18 1/2" from neck to where fin divides.
